GPRB Recruitment 2026

How GPRB Recruitment Works

Police and armed police recruitment involves a written or computer-based exam, a physical standards test, a physical efficiency test, a medical examination and document verification. The order of stages and the physical standards are given in each notice.

Recruiting in Gujarat

GPRB recruits for posts in Gujarat. Gujarat notices usually ask for knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi. Many posts also require a basic computer skills certificate, sometimes by the time of appointment rather than at the time of applying. Reserved seats are usually kept for residents, so keep your residence and category certificates in the format the state prescribes.

Preparing for GPRB Recruitment

Police recruitment has a written exam and demanding physical tests. Start running practice months before the physical test and build up gradually to avoid injury. For the written exam, focus on general knowledge, reasoning, arithmetic and the language paper.

Eligibility for GPRB Jobs

Each GPRB notification sets the qualification, age limits and relaxations for its posts under the rules of Gujarat. How state recruitment works explains age limits, documents and the stages of selection.

Pay and Benefits at GPRB

Police pay follows the central pay matrix for central forces and state pay rules for state police. Allowances for risk, rations and difficult postings add to basic pay, and housing is provided where available.
