Reading This List and Applying Well

What the Status Labels Mean

  • Open: the application window is running.
  • Closing soon: the last date is within the next seven days. If you mean to apply, do it now, because official portals often slow down on the final days.
  • Opens soon: the notification is out, but the application window has not started. The start date is shown on the job page.
  • Closed: the last date has passed. We keep the page so you can follow the admit card, result and later stages.

Status is worked out from the official dates every day, so a recruitment never shows as open after its last date. If a recruiting body extends the deadline, the page is updated once the official extension notice is out.

Reading a Notification in Ten Minutes

  1. Start with the vacancy table. Check the posts, the number for your category, and whether vacancies are split by state, zone or district.
  2. Read the educational qualification for the exact post you want, not just the headline qualification of the recruitment.
  3. Work out your age on the date the notice names, then add any relaxation you are entitled to.
  4. Note the last date for the form and, separately, the last date for paying the fee. They are sometimes different.
  5. Read the selection process and exam pattern, so you know whether to expect a physical test, typing test or interview.
  6. Check the documents section and the format required for category and other certificates.

Mistakes That Get Applications Rejected

  • Name or date of birth that does not match the Class 10 certificate.
  • Photographs or signatures that are blurred, too old or the wrong size.
  • A category certificate in the wrong format, or issued after the date the notice asks for.
  • Paying the fee but not submitting the final form, or the other way round.
  • Applying for a post when you do not yet hold the required qualification on the cut-off date.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly are new notifications added?

New recruitment is added through the day once it has been checked against the official notification. Large recruitments from SSC, the railways, banks and state commissions are usually listed on the day they are published.

Why is a notification I saw elsewhere not listed here?

We list a recruitment only after reading the official notification. If a notice is only circulating on social media or other sites and cannot be found on the recruiting body's website, we do not list it.

Can I apply through this website?

No. Applications are made only on the recruiting body's official website. Each job page links to the official application portal and notification.
