When IBPS Announces Recruitment
IBPS publishes its calendar early in the year. In recent years the RRB, PO, SO and Clerk notices have come out in the middle of the year, with the preliminary exams from August to December.
What IBPS Applicants Often Miss
- Clerk vacancies are state-wise. You apply for one state only and must be able to read, write and speak its official language.
- PO merit combines mains and interview marks, so a borderline mains score can still be lifted at the interview.
- Eligibility is judged on the cut-off date in the notice. A graduation result declared after that date does not count.
- IBPS allots the bank from your merit and the preferences you gave. The bank cannot be changed after allotment.
Preparing for IBPS Recruitment
Bank exams are sectionally timed and speed-heavy. Puzzles, data interpretation and banking awareness decide most results. Take full mock tests under exam timing and keep a short daily habit of reading banking and economy news.
Eligibility for IBPS Jobs
Each IBPS notification sets the qualification and age limits for its posts. Central government recruitment explains the standard age relaxations and the mistakes that get applications rejected.
Pay and Benefits at IBPS
Bank officers and clerks are paid on bank pay scales set through industry-level wage settlements, with dearness allowance revised regularly. Banks also provide leased housing or house rent allowance, medical benefits and concessional loans to staff.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does IBPS recruit for SBI?
No. SBI runs its own PO and clerk recruitment. IBPS covers the other participating public sector banks and the Regional Rural Banks.
Can I apply for both IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk?
Yes. They are separate recruitments with separate forms and fees, and many candidates sit both in the same year.
Can I choose my bank in IBPS?
You state your preferences, and banks are allotted after the final result based on merit, preference and vacancies. You do not apply to individual banks.
What is the age limit for IBPS jobs?
It differs by post. Each IBPS notification states the minimum and maximum age, the date on which age is counted and the relaxations for reserved categories.
Can final-year students apply for IBPS recruitment?
Only where the notification allows it. Some recruitments accept candidates who will complete their qualification by a stated date; others need the qualification on the closing date.
Is there an application fee for IBPS jobs?
Most recruitments charge a fee, with exemptions or reductions commonly given to women, SC, ST, persons with disabilities and ex-servicemen. The fee and exemptions are listed in each notice.
Where are IBPS recruitment notices published?
IBPS publishes its notices on its official website, ibps.in. Recruitment we have checked is listed on this page with links to the official notice.
Is this the official IBPS website?
No. ItsSarkariNaukri.com is an independent website and is not connected with Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. We list its recruitment after checking the official notification, and always link to the official source for applying.
How can I know when IBPS announces new jobs?
New recruitment from IBPS appears on this page once it has been checked. There is no open recruitment right now. Checking the official website regularly is the surest way not to miss a notice.
