How Maharashtra Police Recruitment Works

Police and armed police recruitment involves a written or computer-based exam, a physical standards test, a physical efficiency test, a medical examination and document verification. The order of stages and the physical standards are given in each notice.

Recruiting in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Police recruits for posts in Maharashtra. Knowledge of Marathi is required for state posts. Some notifications ask for proof that you can read, write and speak it. Reserved seats are usually kept for residents, so keep your residence and category certificates in the format the state prescribes.

Preparing for Maharashtra Police Recruitment

Police recruitment has a written exam and demanding physical tests. Start running practice months before the physical test and build up gradually to avoid injury. For the written exam, focus on general knowledge, reasoning, arithmetic and the language paper.
