NMDC Recruitment 2026

About NMDC

PSU jobs come with company pay scales, often with performance-linked pay and good allowances, and are posted at the company's plants, projects or offices.

What NMDC Recruits For

• Junior officer trainees
• Maintenance assistants and field attendants
• Executives in engineering and other fields

How NMDC Recruitment Works

NMDC is a public sector company and recruits under its own rules. Engineer and management trainees are often shortlisted through GATE or the company's own test, followed by a group discussion or interview. Non-executive posts use a written test and, where needed, a trade test. Apprentices are taken under the Apprentices Act.

Preparing for NMDC Recruitment

For engineering trainee posts, a strong GATE score is often the key to the shortlist, followed by a group discussion and interview where your core subjects and final-year project are discussed. Read about the company's business and recent projects before the interview.

Eligibility for NMDC Jobs

Each NMDC notification sets the qualification and age limits for its posts. Central government recruitment explains the standard age relaxations and the mistakes that get applications rejected.

Pay and Benefits at NMDC

NMDC pays on its own company scales. Executives are usually on industrial dearness allowance (IDA) pay scales, with allowances paid as a share of basic pay and performance-related pay that depends on the company's results. Trainees move to a regular grade after training.
