How OSSC Recruitment Works

OSSC fills non-gazetted posts, mostly in Group C, for government departments. Most recruitment is through written or computer-based exams, with typing, skill or physical tests added for posts that need them.

Selected candidates are recommended to departments according to merit and their stated preferences. Several staff selection bodies now use a common test to shortlist candidates for many posts at once.
