When DRDO Announces Recruitment
CEPTAM and RAC rounds come every year or two. The individual laboratories advertise fellowships and apprenticeships throughout the year.
What DRDO Applicants Often Miss
- DRDO has dozens of laboratories, and each one advertises its own fellowships and apprenticeships, so a central search misses many of them.
- JRF and RA posts are fellowships for a fixed term, not regular jobs.
- Selection depends on police verification and security clearance before joining.
Preparing for DRDO Recruitment
Research organisations test subject depth. For scientist posts, revise your core discipline thoroughly and prepare to discuss your projects and publications. Project posts often fill quickly through interviews, so keep your documents and references ready.
Eligibility for DRDO Jobs
Each DRDO notification sets the qualification and age limits for its posts. Central government recruitment explains the standard age relaxations and the mistakes that get applications rejected.
Pay and Benefits at DRDO
Regular scientific and technical posts are paid on the central pay matrix, with scientists usually joining at Level 10. Project posts carry fixed monthly emoluments set by the funding agency, for the life of the project.
