When ITBP Announces Recruitment
ITBP advertises trade, telecom and paramedical posts in separate notices through the year. Sports quota rounds come every year or two.
What ITBP Applicants Often Miss
- ITBP guards the border with China, and many postings are at high altitude. The medical tests check fitness for that.
- Animal Transport constables handle mules and horses used in mountain logistics, so the trade test is practical.
- Sports quota needs participation in the events and period listed in the notice. Medals outside that window do not count.
Preparing for ITBP Recruitment
Police recruitment has a written exam and demanding physical tests. Start running practice months before the physical test and build up gradually to avoid injury. For the written exam, focus on general knowledge, reasoning, arithmetic and the language paper.
Eligibility for ITBP Jobs
Each ITBP notification sets the qualification and age limits for its posts. Central government recruitment explains the standard age relaxations and the mistakes that get applications rejected.
Pay and Benefits at ITBP
Police pay follows the central pay matrix for central forces and state pay rules for state police. Allowances for risk, rations and difficult postings add to basic pay, and housing is provided where available.
