The Forensic Science Laboratory, Haryana is hiring 20 contractual staff for its DNA Division at Madhuban, Karnal. The posts are Senior Scientific Officer, Senior Scientific Assistant, Scientific Assistant and Lab Attendant. Most posts need an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in biology-related subjects such as Zoology, Genetics, Biotechnology or Forensic Science, with Zoology or Botany at B.Sc. level. Educational Qualification
- Senior Scientific Officer (DNA): M.Sc. (1st Division) or Ph.D. in Zoology / Physical Anthropology / Genetics / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Molecular Biology / Forensic Science or equivalent, with Zoology/Botany at B.Sc. level
- Senior Scientific Assistant (DNA): M.Sc. (1st Division) or Ph.D. in the same subjects as above
- Scientific Assistant (DNA): M.Sc. (at least 2nd Division) in the same subjects as above
- Lab Attendant: Matriculation (10th) pass from a recognised Board; 10+2 with Science preferred

- Senior Scientific Officer (DNA): minimum five years post-qualification hands-on Forensic DNA casework experience in a State/Central Forensic Science Laboratory
- Senior Scientific Assistant (DNA): minimum three years post-qualification hands-on Forensic DNA casework experience
- Scientific Assistant (DNA): minimum one year post-qualification hands-on Forensic DNA casework experience
- Lab Attendant: no experience essential; prior laboratory experience desirable
- Candidates possessing FACT/FACT Plus qualification of NFSU are given preference at the screening stage
- Purely temporary contract for one year; confers no right to regularisation, absorption, seniority or pension

Haryana FSL DNA 2026 Salary and Pay Scale
Fixed consolidated pay is Rs 16,900 a month for Lab Attendant, the lowest post, and up to Rs 53,100 for Senior Scientific Officer, with no allowances added.
