Pay is set on the 7th Pay Commission levels: Professor Level 14, Additional Professor Level 13A2+, Associate Professor Level 13A-1+ and Assistant Professor Level 12, with usual allowances as per Institute norms.

What Happens After Selection
Candidates who make the final merit list after the stages listed above (1 in all) have their original documents checked and go through a medical examination.
The appointing department then verifies character and antecedents, usually through the police, and issues an offer of appointment with the joining date and place of posting.

Can I apply if my MD is from a DNB course?
Yes, if the DNB was granted by NBE in a hospital with 500 or more beds, it is treated as equivalent to MD/MS. Otherwise you need one extra year of senior residency and documentary proof of equivalence.
Can I apply if I am still in the final year of my postgraduate course?
The notice says you must have completed the qualification by the closing date, and that candidates still pursuing an M.Ch., DM or fellowship may join only after completing it by the joining date in the offer letter.
Is there a written test?
Selection is based on the interview, but a written test or screening may be held to shortlist candidates. The notice does not say whether a test will be held.
