The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) is hiring 102 Mandal Planning and Statistical Officers and Assistant Statistical Officers in the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, across zones in Telangana. You are likely eligible if you hold a Bachelor's degree with Statistics as a main subject, or Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Computer Science with Statistics as a paper, from a recognised university. Online applications close on 27 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. Apply early, because the portal may slow down near the deadline.

Who Should Apply for TGPSC Mandal Planning Statistical Officer 2026

This suits graduates in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Computer Science who studied Statistics in their degree; a general degree without Statistics as a paper does not qualify.

The exact qualification, age and other conditions are under Eligibility Criteria.

Watch Out Before You Apply

  • Make sure your degree was declared by the university on or before 28 October 2026; a result still being processed does not count.
  • If your degree is from an open or distance university, get proof of recognition from UGC, AICTE or the Distance Education Bureau before you apply.
  • Keep the mobile number and email linked to your OTR active, because OTPs and updates are sent there.
  • Check the Commission's website regularly; no individual replies will be sent about your application.
  • Local reservation applies to 95% of posts, so confirm your local status under the zone rules before you rely on it.
