Educational Qualification

  • Class X plus National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI) plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade, with not less than 60% marks for Gen and OBC and 55% for SC and ST in both NTC/ITI and NAC

What Happens After Selection

Candidates who make the final merit list after the stages listed above (2 in all) have their original documents checked and go through a medical examination.

The appointing department then verifies character and antecedents, usually through the police, and issues an offer of appointment with the joining date and place of posting.

New appointees usually serve a probation period, often one to two years, during which there may be induction training, before being confirmed in service.
