Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a government undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, is hiring 81 non-executive staff on fixed-term contracts in Goa, with a Mumbai office vacancy as well. The posts range from Hindi translator and junior supervisor to technical assistant, nurse, welder and cook. Eligibility depends on the post, so check the qualification for your trade or degree. Who Should Apply for GSL Non-Executive 2026
Diploma holders in mechanical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, civil or shipbuilding engineering, ITI holders in welding, fitting or electrical trades, and nurses with BSc Nursing or a 2-year nursing diploma are the likely fits; B.E. or B.Tech holders without a diploma are not eligible for Technical Assistant posts.

Educational Qualification
- Varies by post: SSC, ITI, Diploma (3 years) or BSc Nursing/2-year Nursing Diploma; Hindi translator posts require Bachelor's in Hindi or PG Diploma in Hindi translation

GSL Non-Executive 2026 Salary and Pay Scale
Pay is a fixed monthly consolidated amount for each post, with three slabs for the first, second and third year of the contract. The lowest slab is ₹27,200 a month and the highest is ₹45,700, depending on the post.

- Written test (CBT or PBT): 25% General Aptitude, 75% subject/trade
