Central Jail Hospital, Tihar, under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, is hiring 20 Senior Resident and Junior Resident doctors on an ad-hoc basis. Senior Resident posts cover five specialities, and Junior Resident posts are open to MBBS graduates. Candidates must hold the degree or post-graduate qualification listed in the eligibility section, with a valid Delhi Medical Council registration or acknowledgement. The last date to submit your application is 29 October 2026. Send it early by Speed post, because hand delivery is possible only on weekdays during office hours.
Who Should Apply for Tihar Jail Sr Resident Jr Resident 2026
Doctors with an MBBS degree may apply for Junior Resident posts, and those with an MD, MS, DNB or diploma in the relevant speciality may apply for Senior Resident posts; MBBS graduates who have not finished internship before the cut-off should not assume they are eligible.

Senior Residents are paid on Pay Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700) and Junior Residents on Pay Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500), plus admissible allowances. The notice does not give a starting basic pay figure.
