- Before applying for a Demonstrator post in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Pharmacology, note that non-medical candidates are not eligible. Such applications are rejected and the fee is not refunded.

Educational Qualification
- Senior Resident, CMO, Resident Anaesthetist, Resident Pathologist: Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB/M.Ch./DM) or equivalent in concerned specialty, recognised by MCI and registered with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council
- Demonstrator/Medical Officer/EMO/LMO: MBBS (preference to PG degree holders); M.Sc. (Medical) candidates considered only if medical candidates unavailable
- Junior Resident: MBBS/BDS, registered with State Medical Council/MCI, rotary internship completed or to be completed by 31/12/2026

- Demonstrators, EMO, Medical Officers: upper age 37 with same relaxations
- Junior Resident: upper age 30; OBC +3 years, SC +5 years
Other Conditions
- Senior Residents who completed three years tenure are not eligible for Sr. Resident post
- Junior Residents who already completed one year Junior Residency are not eligible
- Persons earlier dispensed by this institute on account of misconduct are not eligible
- Candidates in Government service must upload No Objection Certificate from present employer

Pay levels are Level 9, 10 and 11 of the 7th Pay Commission matrix, with starting pay printed in the notice for each post.
As printed in the notification: Senior Resident, Resident Anaesthetist, Resident Pathologist, CMO: Rs. 67,700/- (minimum pay 1st Cell of Level-11) + NPA @ 20%; Demonstrator: Rs. 53,100/- (minimum pay 1st Cell of Level-9); EMO/Medical Officer/Lady Medical Officer: Rs. 56,100/- (minimum pay 1st Cell of Level-10 of 7th CPC); Junior Resident: Rs. 56,100/- (minimum pay 1st Cell of Level-10 of 7th CPC)

What Happens After Selection
Selected candidates are engaged on the terms set out in the notice, usually for a fixed period with a fixed monthly remuneration.
Contracts may be renewed depending on need and performance, but they do not create a right to a regular post.

Can final-year students apply?
The notification does not say. Junior Resident candidates must have completed, or be likely to complete, their rotary internship by 31 December 2026.
Do candidates from other states pay the general fee?
Candidates in the general category pay Rs. 500 plus bank charges. SC candidates pay Rs. 250 plus bank charges. PwD and REE-sponsored candidates are exempt.
Is there a written test?
Yes. Senior Residents, CMO, Resident Anaesthetist, Resident Pathologist and postgraduate Demonstrators test on 3 November 2026. Other posts test on 4 November 2026.
Will I be selected only on the written test?
No. The merit list comes from the written test, and shortlisted candidates are called for an interview on a date to be intimated later.
Does the fee get refunded if my application is rejected?
The notification says the fee is non-refundable, and in some cases such as wrong-department applications, it is not refunded under any circumstances.
