Educational Qualification
- M.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture / Botany / Microbiology (YP-II)
- B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture / Botany / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology (YP-I)
- Matriculation with +2 vocational in Agriculture related subject, or Matriculation with 2 years of working experience from reputed organization (AFO)

18 to 50 years
Age Relaxation
- Relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms
Other Conditions
- Desirable for YP-II: one to two years working experience
- Candidates currently employed or studying must furnish a No Objection Certificate at the interview
- Preference may be given to candidates with work experience in ICAR institutes
- No TA/DA admissible for the interview
- Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification
- Age limits for YP-II and YP-I: min. 21 years and max. 45 years with relaxation as per rule; AFO: min. 18 and max. 50 years with relaxation
- Duration: until 31.03.2027 or completion of the project, whichever is earlier

ICAR CRRI YP AFO 2026 Salary and Pay Scale
Young Professional-II is paid Rs. 42,000 per month, Young Professional-I Rs. 30,000 per month, and Agricultural Field Operator Rs. 18,000 per month, all consolidated.
