- Constable (Civil): Higher Secondary (+2) from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha or equivalent
- Constable (Communication): +2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Electronics/Statistics/Computer Science/IT; or 3-year engineering diploma
- Constable OISF: High School Certificate (Matriculation/10th)
- Firefighter: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent

Is there negative marking?
Yes. The common written examination gives 1 mark for each correct answer and deducts 0.25 for each wrong answer.
Will the fee be refunded?
The examination fee of ₹500 is refunded only to applicants who actually appear in the examination. No refund is given to those who do not appear.
