RITES Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, is hiring 281 apprentices across India for its FY 2026-27 one-year apprenticeship programme. Engineering graduates, non-engineering graduates, engineering diploma holders and ITI pass-outs can apply, with posting decided by RITES based on its needs. Applications close on 25 November 2026. You must apply on the NATS or NAPS portal first, then upload your documents to the RITES Application Form.
Who Should Apply for RITES Apprentice 2026
Recent or final-year graduates in engineering (BE, B.Tech, B.Arch), non-engineering graduates (BA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, BCA), engineering diploma holders and full-time ITI pass-outs fit, but those who finished their qualification more than five years ago or already hold a year of experience should not assume eligibility.

Watch Out Before You Apply
- Register on the NATS portal (degree and diploma) or NAPS portal (ITI) before anything else, and keep your Registration ID for all queries.
- Check that your caste, education and percentage on the portal match your certificates; ask NATS or NAPS to correct any mismatch before applying.
- Combine all documents into one PDF of up to 10 MB and submit it once only; multiple submissions are not entertained and emailed documents are not considered.
- If you use a CGPA system, include your university's official CGPA-to-percentage conversion formula, or your candidature may not be considered.
- OBC (NCL) candidates need a caste certificate issued on or after 05.11.2025; EWS candidates need the latest EWS certificate.
- Candidates who completed a degree or diploma before 05.11.2021, or who already have apprenticeship or one year or more of job experience after qualifying, are not eligible.

RITES Apprentice 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Engineering Degree (BE/B.Tech/B.Arch), four years full-time
- Non-Engineering Graduate (BA/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc/BCA), three years
- Engineering Diploma, three years full-time
- ITI Pass-out, full time

Other Conditions

- Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship earlier or have one year or more of training or job experience after qualification are not eligible

RITES Apprentice 2026 Salary and Pay Scale
Graduate apprentices receive Rs. 15,650 a month including a DBT of Rs. 6,150, diploma apprentices Rs. 13,450 including DBT of Rs. 5,450, and ITI trade apprentices Rs. 10,560.

What Happens After Selection
Selected candidates sign a contract of apprenticeship and join for the training period stated in the notice, with a monthly stipend.
At the end, apprentices who complete the training receive a certificate. An apprenticeship does not by itself lead to a permanent post, though some employers give weightage to their own trained apprentices in later recruitment.

Can final-year students apply?
The notification says candidates still awaiting their essential qualification result on the cut-off date of 05.11.2026 are not eligible. Final-year students should check whether their result will be declared before that date.
Is there a written test or interview?
No. Shortlisting is done only on the merit list based on percentage of marks in the essential qualification.
What is the minimum percentage needed?
You need 60% aggregate for General and EWS candidates, and 50% aggregate for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and PwBD candidates against reserved posts.
Do I need to pay an application fee?
The notification does not mention any application fee.
Can I apply for more than one post?
No. You can apply for only one post. If you submit more than one application, only the latest valid completed application is considered.
