ESIC is hiring 6 Junior Engineers and Assistant Engineers on contract in Rajasthan, at Kota, Bikaner, Jaipur and Alwar. This is a contract engagement for retired engineers, not a regular government appointment. Degree or diploma holders in Civil or Electrical Engineering who retired from a PWD, central or state government, or PSU/semi-government post at JE or AE level are likely eligible. Who Should Apply for ESIC Retired Engineer Contract 2026

Educational Qualification
- Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Degree/Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering from recognised University/Institution
- Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Degree/Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering from recognised University/Institution
Age Limit
Maximum 65 years
Other Conditions
- Retired Central/State Government employees, and retired employees of PSUs/Semi-Government bodies (non-pensionable employment), who held the post of JE or AE or superior posts at retirement
- Candidate must be below 65 years of age as on date of commencement of contractual engagement
- Retired Government Engineers with experience in building construction and maintenance will be given preference
- Term: initial period not exceeding one year, extendable by one more year; total not exceeding two years

ESIC Retired Engineer Contract 2026 Salary and Pay Scale
Junior Engineers from retired PSU or semi-government bodies receive a fixed Rs 56,000 a month, and Assistant Engineers Rs 71,000 a month; retired central or state government engineers receive last drawn basic pay minus pension drawn. Payments do not rise during the term, and no DA or HRA is paid.
