Who Should Apply for SDSC SHAR Apprentice 2026
Graduates in B.E./B.Tech, B.Sc., B.Com. or B.A., diploma holders, ITI or NCVT trade holders and vocational certificate holders from 2022 onward may fit; students still pursuing higher studies do not.

Watch Out Before You Apply

SDSC SHAR Apprentice 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Engineering Graduate Apprentice: B.E./B.Tech in relevant discipline, first class, minimum 60% or 6.32 CGPA
- Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice: B.Sc. (Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science), B.Com. or B.A., first class, minimum 60% or 6.32 CGPA
- Technician Apprentice: Diploma in relevant discipline, first class, minimum 60% or 6.32 CGPA
- Trade Apprentice: SSLC/SSC + ITI/NTC in relevant trade from NCVT
- Vocational Apprentice: certificate of two-year vocational course in relevant discipline after secondary schooling, recognised by AICTE
- Graduate and diploma candidates must have passed the qualification in 2022 or thereafter
Other Conditions
- Only Indian nationals may apply
- Candidates who have already undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act 1961 or Amendment Act 1973, or have one year or more of experience in any organisation, are not eligible
- Sandwich course, short-term/certificate course holders and those pursuing higher studies are not eligible
- Training period is 12 months from execution of the apprenticeship contract
- Accommodation, if required, is provided on shared basis subject to availability
SDSC SHAR Apprentice 2026 Salary and Pay Scale
Stipends are fixed at ₹12300 for engineering and non-engineering graduates, ₹10900 for technician apprentices, and ₹9600 for trade and vocational apprentices. The notification does not give a basic pay scale or gross breakdown.

What Happens After Selection
